Palazzoli is expanding its range of solutions for INDUSTRY with LOGYCO, the new series of LED floodlights for outdoor lighting, designed to combine high performance, robustness and a truly sustainable approach to design.
A housing that weighs 40 per cent less
What sets LOGYCO apart is not a coating or Surface treatment, but the material itself. The housing is made from ECOTHERM: a thermally conductive, self-extinguishing technopolymer for which a patent is pending. Compared to traditional die-cast aluminium floodlights, the weight is reduced by up to 40% (less than 2 kg): a tangible advantage during installation and maintenance, particularly at height or on structures not designed for heavy loads.
As it has no coatings, ECOTHERM is, by its very nature, resistant to oxidation and to salt, galvanic and chemical corrosion (class C5-H according to ISO 9223). Furthermore, it guarantees Class II electrical insulation, protecting the LEDs and drivers from electrostatic discharges and stray currents.
Measured sustainability, not just a claim
This figure is not a generic claim: LCA analyses (ISO 14040 and 14044) certify a reduction in the environmental footprint over the product’s entire life cycle of approximately 30% compared with equivalent conventional floodlights. The material is also 100% recyclable.
Optical and electrical performance
The High Power LED module utilises proprietary PMMA lenses with high transparency (>95%), available in three optical configurations (65° wide road, 60° wide-area flood, 120° Symmetrical extra wide beam) to cover a range of industrial and outdoor applications. Efficiency reaches up to 165 lm/W, with an output flux ranging from 5,150 to 9,760 lm depending on the version.
The drivers provide surge protection up to 10 kV in differential mode and 8 kV in common-mode (EN 61000-4-5), whilst the hermetic seal is provided by 4 mm extra-clear toughened glass with a non-removable gasket: protection rating IP66, impact resistance IK08.
Flexible installation
The mounting bracket, adjustable by ±135°, is secured to the floodlight via a metal compression-lock system. The range of accessories includes pole-top, pole-mounted and overhanging brackets (750 mm projection), to suit various installation configurations. Versions with a DALI power supply, Radio remote control and Colour temperatures ranging from 2,100 K (amber) to 6,500 K are available on request.
LOGYCO is covered by a 2-year warranty, extendable up to 7 years.
